Salt tablets for water softening REGENIT
REGENIT salt tablets are a universal product for technical water-treatment systems in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, as well as hospitals, laundries and homes.
REGENIT water-softening salt, produced by the German company K+S, is pure white vacuum salt pressed into tablets, free from harmful impurities. The tablets have bevelled edges to prevent packaging damage during transport and storage. They have no distinctive odour, are non-flammable and non-toxic.
They are used in water-treatment systems, treatment-plant filters and equipment that softens hard water by regenerating ion-exchange resins.
Salt tablets offer several advantages for water softening. They dissolve evenly, bringing the regeneration solution to the required saturation without additional mixing. A tablet has a greater surface area than a ground-salt crystal, so a smaller quantity provides an effect comparable to an amount of ordinary table salt weighing 30% more. Unlike ordinary table salt, tablets dissolve without forming insoluble sediment that adversely affects water-softening equipment.
Water contains impurities that directly affect its hardness. Water quality influences both well-being and the service life of expensive equipment.
Hardness is a major cause of rust and scale. Salt tablets can help prevent these deposits. Consumption of tablet salt is 2.5 times lower than loose salt.
