Description
Mineral-rich salt licks help meet the mineral requirements of wild animals, especially herbivores. They can go for long periods without other types of feed, but a lack of minerals sometimes makes them travel long distances. Herbivores need sodium chloride because vegetation is rich in potassium but low in sodium. Sodium is necessary for growth, normal metabolism and basic physiological processes.
Salt maintains the pressure of blood plasma and tissue fluids and regulates the balance of salt and water. It stimulates appetite and helps prevent various diseases. A deficiency affects the nervous system, while sodium chloride is also lost through sweating.
SOLSEL Wild natural mineral salt blocks contain vacuum salt, calcium and magnesium. They help meet animals’ daily requirements for these substances, improve performance and prevent diseases associated with mineral deficiencies. Moose, deer, roe deer, red deer and hares quickly become accustomed to the blocks. Deer enjoy licking salt throughout the year, so the blocks can attract them to a site. Deer also scrape the blocks with their hooves to mark them, which attracts other animals.

Wildlife mineral lick blocks are effective mineral supplements used in hunting reserves. Their size and weight are particularly suitable for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs and larger wild animals.
Place the block in a feeder or suspend it at approximately human shoulder height. Animals can then consume the amount of salt they need.
